Héloïse Letissier has once again injected enormous emotional heft into the vessel of warped, left-field pop. And this one takes on classic literature! Christine and The Queens’ newest release ‘La Vita Nuova’ borrows its name from a Latin text by Dante Alighieri, which tells the story of his love for a woman named Beatrice and details the emotional toll of her early death.

Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, and Martin Scorsese praise the Band in the new trailer for Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and The Band, an upcoming authorized documentary about the group.
Fifty years on, it’s difficult to convey just how much The Band changed the game. As psychedelia and acid rock were exploding, they were mentally and musically galaxies away, sequestered in Woodstock, creating their earthy, rickety fusion of folk, blues, country, old-school rock and soul.

September erscheint.

For years rock guitarists have crossed-over into the classical realm to pair up for performances with symphony orchestras. The light behind Angelique Kidjo is bright. Skyping me from New Jersey, where she was to deliver a keynote address for the Segal Foundation, the global music icon looks like a nubian angel.
After spending many years supporting the likes of Levon Helm, Little Feat and Hot Tuna, the “First Couple of Americana” strike out on their own with another album of original material and classic covers.
He was a brilliant perfectionist behind one of rock’s most eccentric bands – even if he preferred life in the shadows.
Founding member Jimmy Carter’s tales of the Deep South and the civil-rights fight now form a musical memoir
