TERESA WILLIAMS
BIOGRAPHY
Teresa Williams grew up at the crossroads of American roots music as a seventh-generation cotton farm in Western Tennessee. Inspired by the sounds of the Mississippi Delta, Muscle Shoals, Nashville and Kentucky, Williams has sung with Bonnie Bramlett, Buddy Miller, Emmylou Harris, Hot Tuna and the post-Grateful Dead projects Furthur and Phil Lesh & Friends. She and her husband, guitarist/producer Larry Campbell, are members of Levon Helm’s backing group and regularly perform at Helm’s famed Midnight Rambles in Woodstock, N.Y. Williams also appeared on Helm’s three Grammy-winning albums. “Dirt Farmer,” “Electric Dirt” and “Ramble at the Ryman.”
